OUR MISSION: The Boardman Schools Fund for Educational Excellence, a component fund of The Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley, is a non-profit organization providing funding for projects to further the educational experience of students. Specifically the Fund has an interest in funding projects which help students develop their talents and interests through the creation of an environment which nurtures high achievement and educational excellence. Such projects go beyond the scope of those funded by the Boardman Local Schools educational budget. Ultimately, this represents a long term effort to provide a source of funding for both the enrichment of existing programs and new projects to increase the educational opportunities for students in the Boardman Local School District.

The Boardman Schools Fund For Educational Excellence 

is a Donor Advised Fund and a component fund of the

Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley.

Established: April 23, 2009

Collaborations: The Boardman School Fund works with alumni, the business community, governmental organizations and the larger community to make our schools a true community enterprise. The Boardman Schools Fund also promotes other kinds of community volunteerism and participation in the schools. The Fund's Board of Directors is comprised of community leaders, a school board member, an administrator and a faculty member.

Goals

  • To fund projects which help students develop their talents and interests through the creation of an environment which nurtures high achievement and excellence. Such projects go beyond the scope of those funded by the Boardman Local Schools educational budget.

  • To provide a long term source of funding for both the nerichment of existing programs and new projects to increase the educational opportunities for students in the Boardman School District.

  • To work with alumni, the business community, governmental organizations, and the larger community to make schools a true community enterprise

  • To promote other kinds of community volunteerism and participation in the schools.

Contributions to The Fund

Consistent with its mission of developing permanent charitable assets for the Boardman Local Schools, The Boardman Schools Fund for Educational Excellence encourages a wide group of donors to contribute. Donations may be made in honor or memory of loved ones and/or through estate planning.
